VICTORY FOR LAMKIN GRIPS AT THE 2013 U.S. OPEN

Congratulations to the winner of the 2013 U.S. Open Championship on his fantastic victory this weekend. In securing victory at Merion Golf Club, the winner became the first English man to hold the U.S. Open title for 43 years.

Starting the final day of the competition 2 shots behind, the winner made the most of the secure connection provided by his Lamkin Performance Plus 3GEN  grips to bag his first major. Repeating the steady golf that had been the trademark of his previous 3 rounds the winner stayed in control with a final round 70. The consistency that he showed across the week was beyond virtually every other player as was evident in his final score of 1 over and the huge spread of numbers across the field.

Lamkin’s Performance Plus 3GEN  was created with a reduced taper to rein in a golfer’s overactive lower hand for straighter, more controlled shots. The larger outside dimension in the lower section of the grip serves to help players hold off shots while still allowing the full release needed to shape the ball flight. The  3GEN all synthetic rubber compound adds the benefits of increased tackiness, greater UV resistance and improved vibration dampening. The medium-firm, medium density pattern feels soft yet provides excellent lateral friction promoting a light touch and reduced hand tension through the swing.
