Lamkin Corporation, a leading manufacturer of premium golf grips, is proud to announce a new series of grips created with the proprietary new ACE 3GEN synthetic rubber compound. The ACE material (an acronym for Advanced Cohesive Elastomer) was developed by Lamkin chemists to combine the performance advantages of 3GEN technology with an even tackier, softer feeling grip. Offered exclusively in the Perma-Wrap ACE 3GEN and Crossline ACE 3GEN, the new line of golf grips will make their retail debut in late 2012. “When creating new products, the Lamkin team is singularly focused on one key factor: optimizing player performance. Our goal with the new ACE 3GEN technology is to provide golfers with an extremely secure and comfortable gripping connection so they can confidently swing with a light-pressure grip,” said Lamkin CEO, Bob Lamkin. “By eliminating tension from their grip, a player eliminates hand and arm tension, delivering longer and more consistent shots.” The technology in the new Perma-Wrap ACE 3GEN grip, combined with its unique unbuffed surface and simulated-wrap texture, delivers unparalleled surface tack. The amplified grip tackiness and slightly softer feel provide excellent gripping stability to promote a smooth, tension-free swing. The standard size Perma-Wrap ACE 3GEN is available in black, gray and white (SRP $4.29). Midsize and oversize models are available in black (midsize SRP $4.49; oversize SRP $4.79). The new Crossline ACE 3GEN offers a dramatically enhanced surface tack with the proven performance benefits of Lamkin’s best-selling Crossline design. With the unique blend of a softer, super-tacky material and a high-traction surface pattern, the Crossline ACE 3GEN provides golfers at every level with a secure and comfortable gripping connection. This connection allows a golfer to relax their hands and hit longer and more consistent shots. The Crossline ACE 3GEN, designed with a distinctive gray and black body and red cap, is available in three sizes (Standard SRP $5.99; Midsize SRP $6.29 and Oversize SRP $6.49). Lamkin’s 2013 grip collection will be available through golf specialty, online retailers and green grass shops beginning in November 2012. For more information about Lamkin Grips, visit

With the recent explosion of white and color golf grips, the issue of grip cleaning and maintenance has become a hot topic. A common complaint from golfers involves the difficulties associated with keeping their light-colored grips looking good. After hearing the question ‘how do I keep my grips clean?’ hundreds of times, Lamkin has created GRIPES™ Grip Cleaning Wipes to make golf grip cleaning easier, faster and much more convenient. “I’ve been talking about the benefits of proper grip cleaning and maintenance for years, but the subject became much more relevant with the widespread acceptance and use of white and color golf grips.” said Bob Lamkin, President and CEO. “Other than keeping your grips looking great, regular cleaning actually reactivates surface tack and enhances the overall durability of the grip.” The new GRIPES Grip Cleaning Wipes (SRP $5.99) were specifically designed for cleaning golf grips and feature a large 7”x9” surface size, a specially-formulated quick-drying cleaning solution and a convenient re-sealable pack. Each cleaning wipe thoroughly cleans up to five golf club grips, and each pack includes 15 cleaning wipes. The cleaning wipes were developed for use on rubber and synthetic rubber grips and are safe to use on all Lamkin grip materials, including the 3GEN and new ACE 3GEN compounds. Bob Lamkin adds, “While GRIPES Grip Cleaning Wipes are a great way to keep white and color grips looking like new, I’m hopeful golfers using traditional black grips will also use the cleaning wipes to keep their grips FEELING like new. The difference in surface feel between a dirty grip and clean grip is really remarkable.” GRIPES Grip Cleaning Wipes, along with Lamkin’s 2013 golf grip collection, will be available through golf specialty, online retailers and green grass shops beginning in November 2012

According to the latest industry research, most golfers use poorly fitted grips – often relying on standard-issue grips that come with their gear – which could explain countless errant balls or extra swings. Fortunately, Lamkin Grips’ 2012 line now offers the industry’s most extensive selection of grip sizes, ensuring golfers can be matched to their ideal grip. “A grip is the only point of contact between the player and the club, so if the fit isn’t perfect, the swing suffers,” explains CEO Bob Lamkin. “With the right fit, a golfer can build consistency, control and improved play. I challenge anyone playing with standard-issue grips to regrip just one club and compare. The difference is compelling.” When developing their 2012 product line, the company was focused on helping golfers play better by offering the widest possible assortment of custom-fit grip solutions. The Lamkin portfolio now includes seven undersize grips, ten midsize grips (including the industry’s only midsize full-cord grip) and six oversize grips– each of which can be adjusted to a perfect custom fit with additional layers of tape. “The right grip will feel comfortable, fit properly and ultimately, help you control your club,” Lamkin notes. “Golfers should look at grips the same way they do their shoes – if the fit isn’t just right, the game will suffer. Regripping to your proper size is the most economical way to dramatically improve your game.” Lamkin is helping golfers quickly and easily identify just the right grip by installing new Grip Fitting Centers at more than 70 GolfSmith stores nationwide. Like the foot measuring device used in shoe stores, Lamkin’s Grip Fitting Center measures two factors: hand size and finger length. Those two measurements help identify a golfer’s optimal grip size for comfort and performance. Golfers then select the most appropriate grip from the display featuring Lamkin’s extensive and award-winning collection. Feedback and fit are two of the most critical components in putter performance. So when searching for the ideal golf grip to complement its game-changing 2012 putter collection, Odyssey selected the Lamkin 3GEN Pistol grip as its point of contact between the putter and the player. Odyssey’s chosen grips for its new Metal-X Putters ProType Tour Series Putters and FlipFace Putters are constructed with Lamkin’s proprietary 3GEN material – the company’s softest synthetic rubber compound designed to reduce vibration without dulling the feel of the putt. This thin profile E.B.L. Pistol putter grip facilitates relaxed forearms and a light grip pressure to promote smooth, consistent strokes. The 2012 Golf Digest Hot List already ranked Odyssey’s Metal-X Mallet putter with the best overall score for any Hot List putter, and led three categories including Performance and Look/Sound/Feel. The recognized leading putter in golf debuted its Metal-X putters, outfitted with Lamkin grips, this month at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and will make the putters available at retail beginning April 2012. It’s universally known that to find the best-fitting shoes, one must first know their shoe size. Such should be the case when finding the right fit for a golf grip, but few people know what size to request when they walk in a store. Fortunately that is about to change with the introduction of Lamkin Grips’ custom Grip Fitting Center. Currently being installed in more than 70 GolfSmith stores nationwide, this new interactive display is designed to educate consumers about the benefits of custom-fit grips, and encourage them to re-grip clubs at their favorite golf shop. Like the easily recognizable foot measuring device all shoe stores use, this golf grip sizing system measures two factors: hand size and finger length. Those two measurements then are used to identify a golfer’s optimal grip size for comfort and performance. Designed to grab customers’ attention with colorful grip choices and engage them with a hands-on sizing system, Lamkin’s new interactive display takes the guess work out of finding the ideal grip size. Already renowned for its custom fitting expertise and experiential retail environment, GolfSmith has secured the new standing display designed to hold 10 unique grip sizes, more than half of which require installation customization at the retail level. The endcap display truly pops with the addition of Lamkin’s latest assortment of bold grip colors including new Neon Purple, Neon Pink, as well as their Electric Blue, Orange and Yellow R.E.L. 3GEN grips. “Grips are an overlooked but essential part of the customization and fitting formula,” explains John Gregg, Sr. Merchant at Golfsmith. “Every golf retailer knows how to measure and fit customers for the right shoe size, but stores were lacking the right grip sizing tools to present to customers. The Lamkin Grip Fitting Center finally solves that problem, and encourages a huge new base of golfers to consider re-gripping, perhaps for the first time.” Lamkin is also designing a countertop-size version of the simple and easy-to-use Grip Fitting Center for independent and smaller stores. The company also offers custom-designed Grip Fitting Centers for retailers upon request. Retailers interested in receiving more information on the fitting display can receive more information by e-mailing . For more information about Lamkin Grips, visit
