Arnie’s Army and Lamkin Mobilize for March

Lamkin is proud to sponsor Arnie’s Army Battles Prostate Cancer closest-to-the-pin contests for the fourth consecutive year. The one-day, one-hole, closest-to-the-pin contests held at courses throughout the country help raise prostate cancer awareness and funds to find a cure. The sponsorship is an integral part of Lamkin’s Grips For Life program, which it began four years ago along with Arnold Palmer in an effort to help find better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.

To date, Lamkin Corporation has raised more than $340,000 by donating a percentage of every Lamkin branded domestic grip sale to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Each Arnie’s Army closest-to-the-pin contest is built around a pre-selected par-3 hole and funds raised at the events go directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, the world’s largest philanthropic source of support for prostate cancer research. Winners of each contest receive a replica of The Original Arnold Palmer putter by Callaway, sample Lamkin grips, and other bonus gifts in appreciation for participating and supporting the cause.

“Lamkin is a valued partner in the fight against prostate cancer,” says Jonathan W. Simons, MD, chief executive officer and president of the Prostate Cancer Foundation. “On behalf of the two million men currently battling the disease, and the three million more who will be compelled to join the fight in the coming decade, Lamkin’s donation will go a long way toward helping researchers find better treatments and a cure for this disease.”
