Lamkin's constant pursuit of a more perfect golf grip has set the bar for advanced grip innovation for nearly 90 years!   No other grip company can come close to matching the advancements made by Lamkin Grips. 

Lamkin Grips was established in 1925, providing high-quality leather golf grips to golf’s biggest club manufacturers.   The company is proud of its history as the very first manufacturer of leather golf club grips.

In 1963, Lamkin Grips introduced the very first leather-rubber slip-on grip to the golf industry.  The revolutionary new golf grip used an injection molded rubber, and quickly changed the direction of the grip industry.

By 1980, Lamkin chemists were using “greener” synthetic rubber materials to enhance grip feel and durability.  Several years later, Lamkin offered another major grip innovation with the introduction of moisture-resistant materials to its golf grips.

In 1995, the Crossline golf grip was introduced.  The grip’s distinctive surface pattern, featuring intersecting “cross” lines, offered never-before-seen levels of grip traction and slip-resistant performance.  Crossline quickly became the company’s best-selling grip, and the choice of dozens of Tour professionals around the world.

With the launch of the Dual Density golf grip, Lamkin was the first grip manufacturer to produce a grip that dramatically reduced torque during a player’s swing.

In 2009, Lamkin chemists develop the new 3GEN synthetic rubber material to offer unmatched vibration dampening, superior tackiness and unparalleled durability.  The material helped Lamkin Grips garner more 2010 Golf Digest Golf Medals than any other grip manufacturer.  By 2011, golf club manufacturers were using the 3GEN material for the grips on their most premium clubs.
