Lamkin Captures Top Money on PGA Tour
SAN DIEGO, California, February 19, 2007 — SAN DIEGO —The world’s oldest grip manufacturer, Lamkin continued to deliver high-performance stability, comfort and traction on the professional tours this weekend. Lamkin’s Classic Half-Cord grip and the company’s Royal Sand Wrap grip combined for two of the Top Three money positions at the Nissan Open at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
“After recently chalking up five wins in four weeks, we’re very excited that the tour representation by Lamkin grips is stronger than ever,” says Bob Lamkin, president and CEO of the Lamkin Corporation. “We’ve specialized in innovative golf grip design for more than 80 years — longer than any other grip manufacturer in the world today — and it’s very rewarding to see some of the world’s best golfers play Lamkin grips week after week.”
The Royal Sand Wrap grip has been a staple on the PGA Tour for several seasons. The Royal Sand Wrap provides excellent traction with a tacky material composition and an innovative sand-like surface texture. Two additional Top 10 players at the 2007 Nissan Open also trusted the Lamkin Tour Black grip, which is a longtime favorite among professional players. The Tour Black series features a softer rubber compound and unique cord buffing process that combine to provide a much less abrasive feel than traditional cord grips. Yet, the Tour Black still delivers the full cord functionality cord players require.
Lamkin Corporation has been the chosen grip supplier for nearly every major golf club manufacturer and the preferred grip of professional golfers worldwide. From the new Dual Density Torsion Control Tour Series to the original Crossline, every Lamkin grip features the cutting-edge design, innovation and performance that have set industry standards for more than eight decades. |
