Lamkin Golf Grips is very excited to announce the August launch of the industry’s first white full-cord grip. The TOUR WHITE was introduced in early 2011 on the PGA TOUR. After posting an image of the Tour grip on its Facebook page, Lamkin was overwhelmed with the positive feedback and quickly decided to add the TOUR WHITE Full Cord grip to their product portfolio. The TOUR WHITE will be available at www.lamkingrips.com in mid-August. The TOUR WHITE is an incredibly soft cord grip that provides maximum comfort in wet and humid weather conditions. It’s counterpart, the TOUR BLACK Full Cord, is one of Lamkin’s most popular grips on the PGA TOUR.
Style, comfort and performance have been perfectly fused to create Lamkin’s new TOUR WHITE Full Cord grip.

Congratulations Darren Clarke! What an outstanding ball-striking perfromance all week at Royal St. George’s. We could not think of a better man to hoist the Championship, through all your ups and downs you have shown you are a true champion! It looked as if he had a grip on the championship from day one with his Lamkin Sure-Tac Classic cord grips.

Great interview with Bob Lamkin, President & CEO, at Golfconversations.com. The article includes an interesting historical perspective on the origin of Lamkin Golf Grips, and how the company successfully transitioned from manufacturing leather grips to producing the best quality and most game-enhancing rubber grips.

At the San Diego Intercollegiate Classic this past weekend, the SMU Mustangs men’s golf team, aided by No. 6 player Aaron Stewart’s third-round 73, walked away with the title. But it was a first-time program executed by title sponsor Lamkin Grips that had participants and onlookers alike talking. With a prestigious field of 12 men’s collegiate teams competing at the nearby San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Lamkin Grips took advantage of the close proximity to company headquarters to introduce its latest college support program: providing free new golf grips to coaches of eligible Division I and II teams.
“It’s a chance for us to give something back to the players and coaches who work so hard to maintain the integrity of this great game,” said CEO Bob Lamkin.
Lamkin Grips believes in gender equality as well. The company’s latest initiative is also available to any eligible Division I and II women’s golf teams. Coaches interested in receiving new grips can select from any of Lamkin’s current market grips and then send their request directly to griprequest@lamkingrips.com.
Maintaining and upgrading one’s grips is a critical component for any competitive golfer’s game. And this past weekend’s San Diego Intercollegiate Classic, where local powers San Diego State (ranked No. 6 nationally) and the University of San Diego (No. 19) finish third and fourth, respectively, set the stage for an opportunity that only the folks at Lamkin Grips could provide.
“We’re always trying to educate golfers on the importance of regripping,” said Lamkin. “After 50-60 rounds, or about once a year for most golfers, clubs should be regripped. At the collegiate level, players are regripping much more often so providing free grips to their coaches is a great bonus!”

Lamkin posted two TOP FIVE finishes at the Northern Trust Open this past weekend, including a first-place finish for the classic Crossline grip! Also atop the leaderboard, in the 4th place position, was the Crossline Tour grip. Of course the new series of 3GEN grips are earning rave reviews, but there’s a reason why the Crossline brand is one of the best-selling and top-rated grips in the industry year after year! They look great, feel great, play great and wear great. Dollar for dollar, a new set of Crossline grips is probably the best investment you can make in your game. For $50-$60, you can get an entire set of new Crossline grips and totally refresh your clubs. Save on regripping costs with do-it-yourself installation. With a fresh new set of Crossline grips, currently used by dozens of Tour players, you’ll be the envy of your foursome.

Do you know what brand of grips you’re playing with? You’d be surprised how many people actually have Lamkin grips on their clubs yet don’t even know it. We’ve been providing grips to all the major club manufacturers for years. Chances are though, you won’t see the Lamkin logo on them. We’re hoping to see that change. And speaking of change, if you want to change your game, change your grips. It’s a relatively inexpensive way to feel like you have a set of new clubs. If you’re grips are worn, if you’ve played over 40 rounds with them, or if you’re holding on for dear life to prevent your hands from slipping, it’s time for new grips. Our 3GEN grips with patent pending technology stay tacky in all weather conditions–even snow. (Okay, we haven’t really tested them in snow, but be the first and let us know.)

Snow. Rain. Frost. Fewer hours of daylight. Winter is almost here, but it’s hard to tell out here in Southern California. We certainly feel for all of you around the country who have put away your clubs. Just remember, when you take them out again, it’ll be time to re-grip! And for those of you who are lucky enough to keep hitting the links these next few months, give yourself a treat and replace those old grips. I know, shameless promotion…but really, we’re trying to help you improve your game and new grips certainly make a difference. You won’t be gripping so tightly and that will help you make a better swing. You’ll play like a champion.
Speaking of champions, we’d like to congratulate the seven Champions Tour players who were victorious this year using Lamkin grips. Eight total wins. Although Crossline is still the most popular grip on Tour, we’re seeing a trend toward using grips made with newer materials such as 3GEN, more colors, and bigger grips.
From all of us at Lamkin, we wish you a very happy holiday season.

Lamkin’s N-DUR with 3GEN and Performance Plus with 3GEN grips were rated Gold in Golf Digest’s latest issue. Their Hot List judges reviewed 52 grips and selected their top 10 based on the grip’s technology story, playability and feel. Only four grips received a gold rating, with Lamkin accounting for two of them. In addition, our Crossline Tour grip received a silver rating. Check out their reviews on their website or on page 73 in the November print issue.
