Q: what is the diffrence and what do you mean when it states 1/16\" or 1/8\" what are the measuring

A: The oversize measurement designation is in reference to how much larger the grip's outer diameter is in relation to the standard model. For instance, a 1/8" oversize version will measure 1/8" larger than its standard version.
We recommend that all golfers go through a proper grip fitting to ensure that you are using the correct size grip.

Q: As a club maker and player I have found the .600 core makes for a softer
grip that offers more feel and playability. Why has Lampkin stopped offering the .600 core. I have personally used Lampkin grips over 20 years and this core size issue is going to force me to make a change!

A: First off, thank you for your continued support of Lamkin Grips.
We still offer many styles in a .600" core and we are currently reviewing options to produce more .600" core options.
As for feel that a .600" core produces versus a .580" core, it is really dependent on the shaft's butt diameter. For instance, putting a .580" core grip on a .600" butt diameter shaft will produce a feel that is larger than standard.

Q: I really like the feel of the N-Dur grips, but I'm concerned about the weight, as they are 10 grams heavier than my current GP Tour Velvets. How much would swingweight change, and are you able to make a more standard weight N-Dur or 3Gen based grip?

Thanks in advance

Q: Hello, how to chose between the N-DUR and the Performace Plus with 3GEN? Thanks.

A: Great question - one that we have received many times.
Your choice between N-DUR and Performance Plus with 3GEN is really a matter of personal preference. Both models are made with our new 3GEN materials, but there is a significant difference in feel between the two models. Performance Plus 3GEN's uniform surface pattern gives you a smoother feel than that of N-DUR, which has a hexagon pattern on the undersize of the grip.
We suggest that you feel each of these grips at your local Pro Shop of retail store to see what is best for you.

Q: I just purchased a new set of clubs on ebay. They came with the lamkin crossline .600. How can I find out if they are standard, midsized, or oversized? I have smaller hands, and want to avoid having grips that are too big. Thank You!

A: Great question - having the incorrect grip size can affect the performance of your clubs. Most midsize or oversize grips will have a designation on the butt cap. You can also have your local PGA professional or club repair shop measure your grips to make sure you have a proper fit.

Q: What is the difference between a cord grip and a grip without a cord? What is the difference performance wise?

A: Cord grips have strips of material embedded in the grip during construct. The grip is then buffed, so the cord will be partially exposed.
Cord grips provide a surface pattern that is rougher than traditional grips, as well as providing a significantly different feel.
The choice between using cord or non-cord grips is a matter of personal preference.

Q: Is there a way to determine the size of the actual grip itself?

I just want to know if it\\\'s .580 or .600.

Thanks.

A: You can find out the core size of most grips by looking at the inside of the mouth of the grips. There should be a designation of 58 for .580\" or 60 for .600\".
