Executive Team

Robert J. Lamkin

President & CEO

Bob Lamkin is the third generation of the Lamkin family to take the company’s helm, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather before him. Under Bob’s leadership, the Lamkin Corporation has quickly evolved into one of the most dominant golf grip manufacturers in the world. In addition to spearheading initiatives that have delivered dozens of breakthrough product innovations, Bob successfully directed efforts to create critical manufacturing networks in Asia. Bob is a highly acclaimed and respected business leader keenly focused on providing every Lamkin customer with the very best products and service. His charisma and humor are graciously shared with Lamkin employees, business partners and customers.

Ironically, Bob’s early career aspirations didn’t include golf grips or the golf industry. He earned his degree in criminal justice and initially pursued a career in law enforcement. Seeking new leadership for the Lamkin sales team, Robert E. Lamkin actively and successfully recruited his son to join the family business in 1987. After spending more than a decade leading the company’s sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing divisions, Bob became Lamkin’s President and CEO in 2000. As his employees and customers can attest, Bob is still very actively involved in all aspects of the Lamkin business; from new material research and testing, to identifying new manufacturing processes, to overseeing worldwide sales programs. And, with his family name on every grip, Bob Lamkin is personally invested in his quest to provide every worldwide customer with the highest quality, most performance-enhancing and best-feeling golf grip in the industry.
